Babel
This product was developed using kirigami, a Chinese technique for cutting and folding paper. BABEL takes its shape according to a modular system in which the basic element is always the same: wo layers of carved, circularly shaped faux leather which are then sewn together. A rim was then created on the outer perimeter, in which a galvanized steel ring was later placed, in order to support the structure. On the inner perimeter, buttonholes slots were laid out, forming the universal hooking system between the modules, using a second steel ring. In addition, there are others PMMA spheres located at the base of the unit, which extend the light vertically.
